From September 1st to 3rd, 2023, the "Deutscher Jugendfeuerwehrtag" ("german junior firefighters day") took place in Burglengenfeld, and we were part of it. In addition to numerous youth groups from all over Germany, we joined in on this event.
On Friday, we joyfully celebrated the opening with the Bayern3 Band on the marketplace in Burglengenfeld, getting carried away by the atmosphere. The visit of Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) was a particularly pleasant surprise.
On Saturday morning, our active members took charge, providing security in the accommodations for the youth fire brigades that had traveled from afar. Later, the junior firefighters of the Volunteer Fire Department of the City of Nittenau also participated in a Geocaching tour through the old town of Burglengenfeld.
Our young firefighters were truly amazed when they spotted some special vehicles on the Blue Light Mile. Their excitement knew no bounds, and they would have loved to expand our fleet with those vehicles.
