In July 2025, the Volunteer Fire Department of the City of Nittenau was dispatched a total of six times by the Integrated Control Center Amberg.
These included two minor traffic accidents within the city area, as well as a serious traffic accident on the district border near Asang. In this incident, a car left the road and overturned several times. Together with the fire brigades from Bodenstein and Wald, we secured the accident scene and assisted the ambulance service in treating the seriously injured driver.
On two occasions, we were called for mutual aid:
- With the turntable ladder to Altenthann to assist the ambulance service with a patient rescue.
- To Reichenbach Abbey for the call type B5 – Large Building Fire. Fortunately, the situation was quickly downgraded, so no intervention on our part was required.
At the end of the month, we were dispatched together with our comrades from Bergham to Brucker Street. Here, smoke detectors prevented more serious damage, and it turned out to be just burnt food.

A special highlight alongside training and drills was the Fire Department Festival in Kaspeltshub.
For three days, we celebrated with our comrades from the Volunteer Fire Department of Kaspeltshub as they marked their 125th anniversary.
